VLIR-UOS awards scholarships to students from 54 eligible countries in Africa, Asia and Latin-America, to follow an English-taught training or master programme at a Flemish university or university college in Belgium. United Nations University Scholarships for Developing Countries
The Japan Foundation for UNU (JFUNU) provides scholarships to outstanding applicants from developing countries* who can demonstrate a need for financial assistance and applying for MSc in Sustainability or PhD in Sustainability at the United Nations University in Tokyo, Japan.

The scholarship provides a monthly allowance of 150,000 JPY* for living expenses for a maximum of 36 months for PhD in Sustainability applicants.
